Matte or Gloss Lamination is a film that is applied to the outside cover of your publication, it provides additional strength and stability. Matte Laminate has a smooth, soft silky finish; while a Gloss Laminate enhances colours and has a crisp, cutting edge finish. Most clients like the combination of both finishes and as a result we settle for a Matte Laminate with a UV Coating. UV Coating or Ultraviolet Coating, is a very glossy, shiny coating applied to the printed paper surface and cured on a special machine using ultraviolet light.

Embossing and Debossing are the processes of creating either raised or recessed relief images on paper and other materials. An Embossed pattern is raised against the background, while a Debossed pattern is sunken into the surface of the material, as a result they may protrude somewhat on the reverse side.

Hardcovers are Leather Styled and feature Foil Stamping in gold, silver or any other type of desired foil, with an elegant coloured ribbon applied, this is defiantly a beautifully finished product. Foil stamping is the application of pigment or metallic foil to a surface where a heated die is stamped onto the foil, making it adhere to the surface leaving the design of the die. Foil stamping can be combined with embossing to create a more striking 3D image.

Is a Custom Sized yearbook something you have in mind?… A4 portrait (w210x297mm) is the standard Australian Yearbook size, however, for that something different we can design & print in any size desired. Alternatively, you may want to present your school’s large group photo as a Fold-Out, either way let us know your requests & we can make it happen.
